VIETNAM
During my last few weeks in Laos, I became close friends with two amazing fellow volunteers. They had plans for onward travel after their volunteer projects had ended. By my surprise, they invited me along three days before their departure. To my surprise, I went.
We started backpacking in Hanoi, then worked our way through Ha Long Bay, back to Hanoi, on to Ninh Binh, Dong Hoi, Phong Nha, Hue, Hoi An, and finally Danang. Our original hopes were to backpack Vietnam and fly to Bali and backpack Indonesia. We ran out of time and money, and honestly became a little worn out from being on the move so much. But we are already planning that next trip back to finish what we started - and that's the fun of it all.
